ADULT MINISTRY
BIBLE STUDIES: Informal gatherings provide opportunites for fellowship, prayer, and interactive study of the scriptures
throughout the year. The focus is on changing the lives of God's people through the truths of His Word. The Ladies' Bible Study meets Thursdays at the church at 9 am, and is studying forgiveness as a Christian virtue. The Men's Bible Study meets in a member's home in Cottonwood on Tuesdays at 6:30 to 7:30 am. This study will use video presentations of the Systematic Theology lectures from The Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, CA.
SUNDAY SCHOOL: Adult Sunday School classes meet separately or together to study books of the Bible or to consider various topics. Currently the adults are meeting together to view and discuss John MacArthur's video series "Does the Truth Matter Anymore?" Through this insightful series, Pastor Roy evaluates the practices of the "user friendly" or "seeker sensitive" church by comparing it with what the Bible teaches concerning the church's priorities. Following this series, Pastor Dean will present a four-week overview of Dispensationalism.
Interactive participation is encouraged.
LIBRARY: Our library provides excellent
Christian books, CDs, and tapes for the purpose of building the believer's faith.
We encourage all Christians to be actively reading books which help them understand
God's Word, stretching their minds in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Each Sunday's message is recorded and available at no cost. Sermons are also posted on the Sermons page of this website.
PRAYER CHAIN: When a believer in our church
has a specific prayer need, the prayer chain spreads the word to faithful fellow-believers
who immediately begin praying for that need.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
SUNDAY SCHOOL: 9:00 a.m.
(for all ages)
NURSERY: During Worship Services
AWANA 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday
(August - April)
Children from preschool through sixth grade are instructed in biblical
truth according to their age. Since the Bible gives parents the primary role
in the spiritual training of their children, we consider it a privilege to assist
believing parents in teaching their children about the character of God and
the truths revealed in His word. We use the Generations of Grace curriculum produced by Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, CA. This curriculum presents an overview of the Bible in a three-year cycle. It is a unified curriculum, so that children of all ages study the same passage each week. Parents are provided a "Weekly Resource" that enables them to reinforce the lessons at home through Bible readings and discussion questions.

both spiritual and physical needs, so we endeavor to equip, send, and support
missionaries for the work of the local church throughout the world. Missionary support is budgeted for the following:

MUSIC MINISTRY
 |
The worship of God is accomplished in a rich way through music. The music ministry
at The Master's Bible Church provides opportunities for those gifted in this
area to enrich the congregation's corporate exaltation of God. We also teach
and admonish one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with
thankfulness in our hearts to God (Colossians 3:16).
STUDENT MINISTRY
 |
SUNDAY SCHOOL: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
When the adult classes are combined, the youth are included with them. At other times, the youth meet separately and study biblical truths with a view toward their spiritual growth and understanding topics important for their age group. The focus of the Student Ministry is worship, study of the Bible, and the disciplines
of the Christian life, all of which lead to biblically based evangelism. As
with the children's ministry, the youth ministry seeks to help parents in the
spiritual training of their children. We desire to be used by the Lord in guiding
students toward maturity in Christ. As they learn more of the Bible, they will
evangelize their friends. This involves faithfully proclaiming God's truth so
that young people can believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
