ADULT MINISTRY

BIBLE STUDIES: Informal gatherings provide opportunites for fellowship, prayer, and interactive study of the scriptures throughout the year. The focus is on changing the lives of God's people through the truths of His Word. The Ladies' Bible Study meets Fridays at the church at 9 am. The Men's Bible Study meets at the church on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:00 am.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: Adult Sunday School classes meet to study books of the Bible or to consider various topics. Recordings of these Bible studies are posted on the Bible Studies page of this website.

LIBRARY: Our library provides excellent Christian books, CDs, and tapes for the purpose of building the believer's faith. We encourage all Christians to be actively reading books which help them understand God's Word, stretching their minds in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Each Sunday's message is recorded and available at no cost. Sermons are also posted on this website on the Sermons page.

PRAYER CHAIN: When a believer in our church has a specific prayer need, the prayer chain spreads the word to faithful fellow-believers who immediately begin praying for that need.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

SUNDAY SCHOOL: 9:00 a.m.
Children from preschool through sixth grade are instructed in biblical truth according to their age. Since the Bible gives parents the primary role in the spiritual education of their children, we consider it a privilege to assist believing parents in teaching their children about the character of God and the truths revealed in His word. We use the Generations of Grace curriculum produced by Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, CA. This curriculum presents an overview of the Bible in a three-year cycle. It is a unified curriculum, so that children of all ages study the same passage each week. Parents are provided a "Weekly Resource" that enables them to reinforce the lessons at home through Bible readings and discussion questions.

NURSERY: During Worship Services

All-Stars for Jesus for children ages 6 - 12
Wednesday 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
(September - May)

MISSIONS MINISTRY

PURPOSE: The Master's Bible Church is strongly committed to the biblical mandate of Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8 to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ as witnesses locally, regionally, and throughout the world. We recognize Christ's priority of making disciples and caring for both spiritual and physical needs, so we endeavor to equip, send, and support missionaries for the work of the local church throughout the world. Missionary support is budgeted for the following:

Bob and Mary Ehmann
Agency: Avant Ministries
Echo Ranch Bible Camp, Auke Bay, Alaska

Marcus and Amie Denny
Agency: Missionary Financial Services
Czech Republic

MUSIC MINISTRY

The Bible teaches that music is an essential element of the worship of God. Ephesians 5:19 describes the worship of the church as "speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord." Through music the church expresses its unity, led by those gifted in music, to proclaim the worthiness of God and the wonders of His works. Music also provides the opportunity for God's people to exhort one another and respond obediently to God's word. Though biblical truth, skillfully set to music and beautifully presented, ought to stir the emotions, we believe that the focus ought rather to be on God and His word. We endeavor to be distinct from the world in our music by encouraging believers to sing together to God, rather than viewing themselves as an audience for performers. God ought to be the "audience" of our worship together! Therefore we sing the psalms, translated in meter and set to familiar tunes, hymns old and new that are rich with theology, and spiritual songs that exhort one another and express the joys and challenges of the Christian life.

STUDENT MINISTRY

SUNDAY SCHOOL: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
When the adult classes are combined, the youth are included with them. At other times, the youth meet separately and study biblical truths with a view toward their spiritual growth and understanding topics important for their age group. The focus of the Student Ministry is worship, study of the Bible, and the disciplines of the Christian life, all of which lead to biblically based evangelism. As with the children's ministry, the youth ministry seeks to help parents in the spiritual education of their children. We desire to be used by the Lord in guiding students toward maturity in Christ. As they learn more of the Bible, they will evangelize their friends. This involves faithfully proclaiming God's truth so that young people can believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
